I haven't heard anything like that. I would suspect it's going to be an
ASA-only thing, but then again, I am not a firewall/FWSM guy.

any idea if the FWSM supports or is going to support in the near future
the Phone proxy feature?

It's TAC supported, but only on what is currently documented (versions,
features, etc...). However, there is no sustainment.
Not a good situation, I agree.

what's up with that.... I knew they EoS it about 6 months after it came
out..... but isn't there support for like 3 or 4 years after, before
they stop supporting it?

Hi Scott,
Phoneproxy(Standalone) has been deprecated and is EOL. It has been
replaced by Phoneproxy(ASA).
If it works with 7.1 then that's fine, if it doesn't, you are on your
own. I suspect there might be some issues since we made a jump in SCCP
versions to support IPv6 in 7.1.
You may need to investigate getting an ASA or adding the feature to an
ASA you already own as the original Phoneproxy isn't developed anymore.
Sorry for the bad news. But hey, it's Friday right?

I have the Phone proxy appliance and CM 6.1.2 setup and working.
I'm looking to upgrade to CM 7.1. But I can't find in any of the
documentation if it's supported and if I need to upgrade to 1.0.4 to get
it supported. Any idea where I can find that kind of info?
I've looked through the PP release notes and admin guide with no
success.
Thanks
Scott
