I see this at this url: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_configuration_example09186a0080114c64.shtml
I have 3 separate cucm (no master slave, indipendent cucm),and i must allow to all to make g.729 conference calls.
Normally i need 3 router configured with conference bridge, everyone connected to a callmanager.
There is another (little expensive) way to make this?
Third party conference bridge?
Software conference bridge?
Thanks
Mao

CUCM software conference bridges still only support G711. Not sure where
that doc is, but its wrong. For G729, you need DSPs.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Enable g.729 on cucm conference bridge.
Hi,
i need to make conference with three or more ip phone in g.729.
With ios hardware conference bridge it work, but i would want to use the
software conference bridge in cucm 6.1 (to save pvdm :P ).
>From cisco site,i read:
Note: Software conference devices only support G.711 codecs. Cisco
CallManager 4.0 and later also support G.729 codecs. Still, the default
codec is G.711
But if i make a conference with g.729,it fail (g.711 work correctly).
How I can resolve? Where I can modify the default codec?
Thanks
Cordiali saluti
