I would shut it down I've never heard any cisco cards to be hot swappable

Subject: [cisco-voip] shutdown required to install vic3-fxs-e/did card into 3945?
I've tried searching CCO but can't find anything that says I can or can't install a vic3 module live on the router while it's up.
Shutting down a router with a CUE engine in it is a drag.
Comments?
