[cisco-voip] CUCM 8 and VMWare

You can only run them on the UCS Cisco servers, and you can only run it on
the blade server system, and you can't run more than one VM on one physical
server. So if you are going to run CUCM PUB, SUB, CUPS, Unity Connection in
VMware that will be four servers.

The requirements for vmware are pretty high for running CUCM8 as well. I
think it requires 6GB of RAM and 2 vCPUs. Not that bad, but if you needed
to run 2-3 servers, that could add up quickly for a smaller vmware shop. I
thought I read that it was only supported on the new UCS server platform by
cisco. Is this true, or can you use a third-party built cluster?

For testing purposes yes. Works fine for as much as I have looked at .
