I think the KeySpan USA-19H rocks. My first one came with a Cisco 8106 Audio Server (Meeting Place 6x).

KeySpan is reliable, and I use the 64-bit drivers in Windows 7. I did not find another manufacturer whose product actually worked in 64-bit versions, and that didn't crap out. I tried several models from Office Depot, etc.

TrippLite bought KeySpan.

I doubt you will find a good laptop with a DB-9 Serial Interface between the HDMI Output and USB 3.0 Interface :)

Still some vendors offer the serial port you have to just order the correct P/N "HP is an example"
Regarding the converter I have one from Radio Shack and it is really working great with me till now.

So if I'm looking for a new laptop, is there any manufacturers that still have a Com port on them?

Has everyone just resorted to usb to Serial connectors? I've used them but find them to be somewhat problematic. Which is the best ones out there?
