Really you cannot imagine how it was painful for us that Cisco
discontinued posting bootable images on CCO...L

Yup looks like I was mistaken and it's not bootable. I thought one of
them had made it through to Cisco.com but apparently not.

Are you sure?
The release notes says that it is not bootable.

First of all the doc and bug you reference don't have anything to do
with install failures but patching the hard drive firmware prior to
install is a very good idea.
Second I would strongly recommend going to 7.1(5) over 7.1(2) for a new
install. If you don't have the media handy for 7.1(5) the 7.1(3b)SU2
posted to cisco.com is bootable media that you can use for an install
(just to rule out an issue with your 7.1.2 media).
Finally, you can try going in and deleting any existing raid array on
the server to see if that helps get the install moving. Once it passes
hardware validation the disk setup is the next step.

I have CM 4.3 running on MCS7825-I4 and I'm trying to upgrade it to
7.1.2 using DMA but during the installation the server stuck at:
[
7825I4:passed detection validation
Beginning Firware Managment...
Firmware Update: firmware already up-to-date "144"
x3250M2: BIOS Update: execution successfully"

and freeze.
I found the following bug:
https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-12955
http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method

So I installed the FWUCD 3.6.1 but got the following errors:
IBM serverRAIDMR10is SAS Controller fir 11.0.1-0033a (not applicable):
update not applicable to this system configuration hardware is not
required
IBM system x3250 M2 remote supervisor adapter II1.05 (install did not
succeed)
