UPDATE. Appears to be the 12.2 SXD IOS train. I was downgraded to 12.1(27b)E4 and the 7936 works just fine. Could try 12.2 SXF, but need PCMCIA 64mb card to do it.

Nope, not too many on the blade. Swapped the 7936 with a 7935 and the 7935 works just fine. I still want to know why the 7936 isn’t working.

Have you got too many on the blade ?

Ie are they drawing too much power ?

I have the same issue and had to put bricks on them to get them to work

Hi,

I have a few 7936 phones connected to a 6500 w/ Sup2 running IOS 12.2(SXD7B) and line cards WS-X6148-RJ45V. For some reason the phones keep rebooting and will not work. I have some 6500s with CatOS with the same line cards that work just fine. Does anyone know a work around or what the problem could be? Of course, I could run CatOS but we don’t want to change these to CatOS.

Thanks

Bill Hendrix
