Just a note,

Some of the Cisco MCS hardware doesn't support RAID the way you think they
do.  You have to follow Cisco Disk Replacement procedure.

Some of the earlier servers were "Cold-Pluggable" only.

We did the same thing on an upgrade, popped out the Disk 1, and replaced it
with a spare.  However, since we did it "hot" the server detects the drive
failure, but needs manual intervention to begin mirroring again.  (Basicly,
we were told to shut down the server, pop the "new" drive out, boot it up.
 Shut it down normally, put "new" drive back in, and turn on, mirroring will
begin.)
