By default you can only have three participants in a software mixed conference. This is configurable in service parameters. Hardware conferencing is typically more "resource reliable" as it is performed in dedicated hardware (DSP) rather than mixed in software (UCM).

with software conferencing u can get three people conferencing. where as hardware conferencing uses dsp resources for conferencing so u can get multiple number people. By default software will be enabled. when u want to use hard ware conferencing u need to go into telephony service and specify conference hardware. So that hardware conferencing will work

Hi All,

I would like to know the difference between hardware and software conference bridge. Can you send me the link where I can find information of both features?

Thanks,
