[cisco-voip] CUCM Remote TFTP options

Hi Bill,
Not sure if it's an option for you, but peer firmware sharing has been
around for a while and could help here. Basically, it allows phones on
the same subnet of the same type to establish a hierarchy so that only
one phone downloads the firmware from the TFTP server (across the WAN in
your case) and then shares it with the rest of the phones of the same
type on that subnet.
All you have to do is enable the peer firmware sharing option on the
phone's config page in CCMAdmin. HTH

Subject: [cisco-voip] CUCM Remote TFTP options
Hi everyone,
I am looking at having multiple remote sites on a single cluster. I
would prefer the remote sites have local TFTP servers, but it's my
understanding the TFTP servers for the phones must also be part of the
CUCM cluster. Is this correct or is there any documentation on how to
standup a separate TFTP server which isn't part of the CUCM cluster?
Thanks,
Bill Hendrix
