[cisco-voip] dial-plan modification

I would make a backup of your system and play with changes in vmware to be honest. The DN is stored in the numplan table. You would be largely making changes to the dnorpattern field. But as Eric, if you screw it up in production that is what we call a RAE (Resume Altering Event).

I'm not sure about any of that. You don't have to necessarily be a DB Specialist to make the change, but you do have to be careful and have the right piece of software. I'm not aware of any free applications out there, nor am I familiar with provisioning manager.

I have around 900 IP phones in 2 locations + 900 EM profiles that I need to change because of a CTI application.

Ok, for the SQL but that means I need a DB specialist :(

Any free applications that do this via AXL that I'm not aware of?
Could we use a demo version of Cisco Provisioning Manager?

Thanks for the input.

Ovidiu

Can you elaborate a little? You could make a special partition and put translation patterns in them to make it more scalable and flexible... If you want to just modify the DN's in bulk, I suggest using some SQL. CUCM Plugins has an AXL SQL Toolkit you might be able to use for it.

Hello everyone

Do you know any quick methods to change the dial-plan on a CUCM cluster (i.e. hardcoding a site code on every phone DN)?

Thanks,

Ovidiu
