Not at all, and the same goes for CUCM, though I don't believe it is
documented anywhere.

 

The 8.0(3) engineering specials will also be bootable (no more upgrade
during install) and will be advertised as such.

install a new Connection 8.0 server.

>From the 8.0.3 RN: The software application posted on Cisco.com can be
used to install a new Cisco Unity Connection 8.0(3) server or to upgrade
an existing Connection server to version 8.0(3).
