UCCX is on the way, hopefully in a couple of months. I think that I would put off this project until then.

Thanks for the help.

I don't know if you can do this at multiple levels with Unity. For instance, you can create a class of service per department, and create a directory handler for each department, restricting each of the department call handlers to its corresponding class of service... But I don't know of a way to create a directory handler to search through departments as you describe.

You may find it easier to front end the search for a department using a contact center script... then the script would transfer the call to the corresponding "Department" directory handler via CTI to unity. Do you have a UCCX box?

Has anyone setup a Departmental Directory Handler? What did you do? I basically want to setup a number that customers dial and do a search for the department that they want. We have 25 departments.

Then possibly in the future after all of the departments go VoIP do a Departments --> then End Users as separate Handlers.

Right now we don't have a Department mail box setup. So I guess I will need to setup those.....

Thanks for any insite.
