You will need a VG30D to convert DPNSS to Q.SIG

Subject: [cisco-voip] 2851 Router DPNSS Configuration

Morning All,

I am trying to use a Cisco 2821 router with VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E1 in conjunction with a BT featurenet service/circuit we have had installed at one of our sites.

I expected the provider to be delivering the service in the same way as a Q931 circuit, but have been told the configuration is DPNSS and my gateway needs to be configured as the ‘B end’ and ‘Y directional’

Can anyone shed any light on what I need to on my gateway configuration wise?

James
