[cisco-voip] IP Communicator and ASA

It is only the phone proxy feature that isn't supported with CIPC.  Having the CIPC work on a PC running software vpn will work just fine.

Under the interoperability section it states:
Cisco IP Communicator is not supported with Cisco® ASA 5500 Series Adaptive Security Appliances with Phone Proxy for Remote Access.
 
Is this something new? I was hoping to use the ASA to rectify some security concerns our Info Sec group had regarding using IP Communicator across our VPN.
