BIX 1A?
Your using NORDX/Nortel BIX strips for your data wiring? I know it's cat 5 / cat 6 rated, but I've never seen it terminated that way, only for phone wiring fields.

Thanks for everyone's help on this.
In the end, turns out I was looking at the wrong ACL when I first made my assumption that a previous router was using the loopback address in the MGCP bind statement for TFTP.
All I had to do was use the TFTP source-interface command and all was good. That means all TFTP packets come from this interface, but that's OK. I just updated our mgmt ACLs to store our configs to allow the loopbacks.
I also had to update the CCM Server information from hostname to IP address in order to keep things working once they registered, otherwise, they reverted to hostname and stopped working.
I also forgot that MGCP writes dial-peers automatically for the ports you want and adds the "service mgcpapp" in there for you.
My next task is to get these ports working in SRST mode - I believe I need another set of dial-peers for that.
Again, thanks.
Lelio
P.S. It's amazing how a 5 mm (1/32 ") piece of cross-connect cable can waste half an hour of your time. The BIX 1A that was set up for me had a small piece of cross-connect cable completing the circuit on the first pair.

thanks Chris, et al.
I'm just going through the document.
I'm guessing changing from hostname to ip address is less daunting then changing the IP address from A to B.
Plus, I have no subscribers.

“CCMAdmin – System – Server” is the menu structure to make the change.

That is because you have your CallManagers as hostnames instead of IP addresses. You would need to change them in CallManager and reset the gateway.

ok. so that helped me get the file. i'll have to figure out what address is trying to connect without that later.
but now, after the config is downloaded, it changes the MGCP hosts from IP addresses to hostnames.
i honestly can't recall how i completed my install, but i'll have to figure out how to change from name to ip address.

Ah, okay...
Well, just in case, this router IOS command may be handy...
