Yes you really need to have the correct OS image.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Upgrade Assistant question

Hello,

I am starting process to upgrade our CM 4.2 system at a regional
campus to 7 (huzzah!). When running the upgrade assistant utility to
check the system health, it is returning an error:

ERR:OS upgrade has incorrect version (expected "200X.X.X", but found "200X.X.X")

Is the actual OS upgrade version relevant in this case for DMA to work
properly? Do I really need to upgrade to the specified OS Upgrade
version for this, or is it checking against rules to upgrade to CM 4.3
instead for some reason? Everything else checks out OK.

Thanks in advance!
