[cisco-voip] [Cisco VoIP] Presence and CUPC exchange calendar

Running Exchange 2003. The user account that is currently setup for the
gateway is the domain administrator user that has full rights to
exchange not just send as receive as, but full exchange control. This
is just a test, for production I would probably create a new domain
users.

Hello,
Are you running Exchange 2007 in mixed-mode with forms-based
authentication? If so, this could be causing the issue. Plus, does the
user you are using for this have a mailbox itself with Send-As and
Receive-As rights on the calendars for the other users?
Thanks,

All,
I finally got Presence 7 and CUPC setup and working correctly. The only
that's not working is the "exchange calendar busy sync". I have it
checked in preferences, and it shows as enabled in Presence; however
it's not changing my status. The Outlook Gateway is setup correctly and
is reachable and verified in the status. My CUPC client has full
connectivity displayed. I am using desktop only with no softphone,
could this be the problem? Thanks again

Hi Michael,
I am guessing those additional search results are coming from your LDAP
server as computer object types since CUPC doesn't have any filter. You
could modify the search filter to add objectclass=user via the CUPS
menu.

Adam

Subject: [cisco-voip] Presence and CUPC contacts
Hi all,
I have a new install of CUCM7.1 and CUPS 7. I am setting up CUPC and
have all features working, and both CUCM and CUPS are setup to use LDAP
and working. For some reason my LDAP user search shows the proper user
entry, but also a username entry with a $ in it. For Example it shows
John Doe then JDOE$ as a different user. Any ideas? Also, is there a
way to make a global contact list and group list for all CUPS and CUPC
users? I would hate to have the end users need to add all the
enterprise contacts even though there are only 125 of them. I would
rather set up a group template with the users in it for each person to
have when they originally login to CUPC. Any thoughts are appreciated!
Thanks,
