[cisco-voip] VG224 SCCP analog conferencing

I've tried/tested with CallManager 7, on a SCCP VG224 I could only get one other party in a conference, I couldn't keep flashhook and add more.

Ryan had a good point about maybe using STCAPP feature code for incall conferencing versus flashhook, but I didn't see how to configure it;

But to add the 2nd you have to put the first on hold and dial the 2nd. You need a 2nd call for that.

Wait a minute though.....

If you are on a 3-way conference call, the port only sees it as a single call, correct? Think of your IP phone when you see "To Conference". It is only one call. If that is true, then I should be able to conference in another person.

No, maximum number of calls at bottom of Device > Gateway > VG224 > Port 2/0/0 is 2 (default is 1) That means one flashhook to add one other party.

If we have analog phones connected to a SCCP VG224 port, we should be able to make conference calls with the max participants as specified in the service parameters, correct? So, we can simply dial an extension for a 2-party call, then hookflash, dial another extension, hookflash again. At that point, we have a 3-way conference. Then, can we continue to use hookflash again, and add more participants similar to the Confrn softkey on an IP phone? Just curious if there was a limitation in doing this from an analog port. Since it is a SCCP port, I would think that it would be handled like a normal IP phone, right? I don't have one handy to test this out.

Thanks,
Kevin
