[cisco-voip] Out-of-band DTMF & SIP Trunks?

You should be able to run Wireshark and confirm that RFC2833 (rtp-nte I think) is being delivered to Arc versus inband.

Wonder if maybe a MTP is terminating and converting from RFC2833 to inband when connected to Arc?

Subject: [cisco-voip] Out-of-band DTMF & SIP Trunks?

Guys

I have a customer that is having a strange issue with DTMF

As you know, Arc is a CTI application (using the CiscoTSP - different to JTAPI or Unity). When a call comes into the Arc IVR product from an external route (all of which are SIP Trunks), the DTMF digits are not being received. It works fine if you call into the system from an internal phone...

Unity also works fine - however that's a different integration point

Cisco Developers can see the issue, and have advised that it is because the DTMF is set to in-band, which the CiscoTSP/CTI Port does not support - and that DTMF must be set to out-band

However, the customer is sure that DTMF is set to out-band already.

Does anyone have any experience with this - any pointers? I believe the partner has raised a case with TAC as well

Thanks
