Hello,
Why not assign it as a softkey instead of assigning it to a line button?
Thanks,

Hi James,
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately we have used the PickUp button
assigned to the line 2 on 7942 so no more button available for oPickup.
This is annoying for customer as they want to just use simple step with
PickUp button for picking up those calls from either the same or
diffrent selected pickup groups. Is there a way to do that with just the
PickUp button/softkey?
We wish Cisco can improve this feature by merging PickUp with oPickup
functionality.:(
thanks,
Denny

I believe when using call pickup groups this way you must use the
oPickup softkey (found in the softkey template). I found this relevant
link (for CallManager 4.1)--

Subject: [cisco-voip] Quenstions about CUCM 7.1.3 Pickup Group
I have setup a pickup group (A) that has few selected call pickup groups
(B,C,D) in it but the user are still unable pickup call from any of the
pickup members (B,C,D). I have searched the CCM Service parameters
option for pickup and find below option. Not sure if this setting change
will help as there are in production.
Auto Call Pickup Enabled : This service parameter determines whether the
auto call pickup feature is enabled. Auto call pickup connects the user
to an incoming call in a call pickup group so that when the user presses
the PickUp, GPickUp, or OPickUp softkey on the phone, Cisco CallManager
locates the incoming call in the group and completes the call
connection. Valid values specify True (enable auto call pickup) or False
(disable auto call pickup). This is a required field. Default: False
Has anyone ever have the same problem or know the tricks?
thanks,
Denny
