As far as I can tell, display name is not sync'ed. Shame really. It's only created at time of import.

Based on discussions that I have seen, it is my understanding that users imported from AD only have the first name, last name, display name and Exchange attributes synced after the initial import from AD.

I haven't found much in the way of specifics about synchronization after importing from AD, but the Unity help documentation states:
"The Extension value must remain unique in the Cisco Unity database; therefore, if you subsequently change this value in Cisco Unity, the data in this field will not be replicated to Active Directory or vice versa."

Before I read into the above more, I had tried a DC/GC force reconnect yesterday.

Thanks
Fred

Unity syncs that info from AD every couple of minutes, so if the servers aren't updating, you might have an AD problem. Check the application event logs on both Unity servers for errors or warnings from CiscoUnity_DSAD and CiscoUnity_DSGC.

To answer your question, you can force a complete directory resync from DC/GC Reconnect tool in Tools Depot with the "Force Connect"
option. Monitor the event log for informational messages that show the start and stop of the sync you kick off.
