[cisco-voip] Callmanager upgrade

Hi Rob,

There is a checkbox at the point in time that it does the MD5 check on the upgrade image that says "Do not reboot after applying the upgrade patch" which will allow you to upgrade all nodes.

Do the Publisher first. Wait about 40mins or so until the logs start saying PostInstall and then start the Subscriber(s).
Check the logs on each node to ensure that the upgrade has completed Successfully and a "show version inactive" on the CLI on each node.

Then initiate the switch version during your scheduled change window.

Cheers
Dana

I think this may sort of be possible, if you start the upgrade process and get to the part where you are uploading your browsing session can time out and you can come back later and "assume control". I don't know if this will last forever but that's the only option I can think of. Albeit if you use FTP and have a server close to the CCMs even a 4gb file only takes 5-10 minutes in my recent experience

HI,

Can I upload Callmanager updates without installing the update? I would like to get all the uploading done before I switch the Callmanager versions from active to inactive.

Thanks for the insight.

Rob
