Hi Ryan

>From UCCX system, we are running in HA. If either (first node / second node)
crash. We need to replace a new server. How can I rejoin the HA service
after I clear install the server.

I can't find any document related to restore whole system (for clear
server). Is it only restore the update configuration and the HA will auto
synchronized.

Thanks

Best Regards

David

As with most things there is a gap between what you can do and what you
should do. With voice servers and UC applications the latter group includes
those things that Cisco will help you with should you try it and something
goes wrong.

Only the DRS backup and restore process on cisco.com is supported by TAC.
Any other method you choose to try (hd cloning, ghost, pulling a drive from
a raid array, etc) may work for you but has not been tested by anyone in
Cisco and TAC won't help you with issues deriving from such a restore.

I need to replace a server. Can you do the following thing to resume
immediately.

1. Hard disk clone for the whole system (windows & UCCX) before crash
2. If either server crash, I insert the clone hard disk to the replaced
server.
3. Restore the configuration from DRS and resume the service.

Can anyone advise?

Thanks

Have you checked the Disaster/Recovery Guides for these servers? They have
all the information you need. In my opinion, it is very straight forward
and works really well.
