I've heard the same type of complaint from customers, but never from anyone
important enough that I've had to disable 722.
Once I explain that the "tinny" behaviour noticed may actually just be due
to the audio quality being "improved" people seem happy..go figure.

CP-7965G to CP-7965G on LAN we have advertise g722 Enterprise parameter
enabled. For most all calls it sounds great, however once in a while the end
user (always a female) complains it sounds tinny, usually on a phone to
phone call. Workaround is to disable advertise g722.
Is this a known bug, anyone else seen this. 5 different customers over last
6 months have complained about it. All new installs, new phones running 8.5
or higher firmware.
This customer has all 7965 SCCP 45.9-1-1S with G722 enabled and noticed it.
Gateway is MGCP and G711, no problems with G711 calls, just G722.
I love G722 and think it sounds great, I can never reproduce the customer's
problem but end up disabling advertise g722.
