hi all,

i am wondering whether any one here already implemented the following 2
cisco and ms un integrations scenarios ? if yes , can you please extend
possible guidance ?

scenario 1
========
topology is as follows

sccp cisco phones -----> ccm7.x cluster -------> sip trunk ------> ms lync
-----> ms im client on pc

objectives are as follows

we have 2 x independent uc cluster of cisco , where all 500 + ip phones
lives , while on the other hand , ms lync server services 500 + im users in
totally separate way.now , i am planning to integrate these 2 x vendor uc
clusters in order to provide a "true inter vendor uc" collaborative
experience to my clients.

that way , we can offer following services to the clients.

keep the ccm cluster as a sole & central ip pbx in this topology and it
works as gateway or default gateway to lync server and i do not want to turn
on full blown call routing functionality on lync at all.however , i am
aiming to provide all my im users more than just chat, such as "click to
call" from any ms apps such as http pages , ms office docs ..etc , click to
dial by dialing any contact number from im gui , so that im will control the
desk phone at the user desk , audio and desktop video , conferencing and
softphone functionality from im gui itself. however , all the call routing
will be processed via ccm cluster and not via lync server.

can this be achievable ?

scenario 2
==========
2nd topology i am looking at is as follows

 sccp cisco phones -----> ccm7.x cluster -------> sip trunk ------> ms lync
-----> cisco cuci lync client on pc ( just like cuci moc client) ------->
registered with ccm as sccp endpoint.

as cuci lync client is jointly produced by both cisco and ms and also as
cisco cuci lync got a familiar cisco soft phone kind of functionality ,
besides , it can be configured on ccm as sccp end point , i am considering
this scenario too. but the biggest issue for me with this scenario 2 is that
, it may costs me a lot $$ on cuci lync client software licensing , since i
do not have cisoc enterprise licencing. apart from that , can this be
achievable ?

in this scenario too, i would like to keep call processing and call routing
intelligence with ccm cluster and not with lync at all.

scenario 3
========

installing cups with in cisco uc cluster and get the cup-c client to do all
ms lync im does. but for that , i need to convince my smb business clients
to spend more money $$$ , which they can not do it right now ( but perhaps
in future certainly), since they have already invested on ms exchange and
lync uc fleet. so , this option may not fly with my clients.

thanks a lot for your help in this matter.

tony
