[cisco-voip] Line Appearances Across SCCP and SIP Devices

Right now the Tandberg endpoints still register as 3rd party devices so they won't behave the same as other Cisco SIP phones. Shared line behavior is one area where I would expect there to be a difference.

This will change in future CUCM versions as there is a lot of work being done to pull them into the product.

Our office is pretty much all Cisco 79XX phones, but I've recently
started deploying Tandberg E20s to our executives. These are video
capable SIP phones and work nicely with our CUCM 7.1.5.

The executive assistants have on their 7962s their bosses extensions as
well as their own. When a call came in on the executive's line, the
assistant would pick it up immediately. The executive would then look
at their own phone, see the caller name/number and sometimes just pick
it up and take the call immediately, exactly how you would do it with
analog phones sharing a POTS line like in a residence.

Going to SIP phones for the executives seems to have broken this
functionality. They just get dial tone. And the assistant can't
transfer the call to the same number it's already on.

As a work-around, I've offered to create a second, private extension on
the executives' phones that the assistants could use to transfer calls
to them or for private consultations. While this is better than making
the caller hang up and call back, this isn't what they want.

Is there a way to restore the old functionality when one phone is SIP
and the other is SCCP? If not, would giving the assistants SIP phones
solve the problem?
