[cisco-voip] Voice mail for hunt pilot number

Thanks Michael,
 
We have unity & have configured vm as guided below it is working but
users of this pilot number is not getting alert (MWI on/off) on their
phones instead they are getting new call from vm to alert users on new
msg.
 
Can you please help with (SRND)link to implement  this unity feature .

Manjunath,

 

Depends on what you are using for voice messaging.  If you are using
Unity or Unity Connection you can follow these instructions.

 

CUCM:

Under the hunt pilot config for that hunt group, find "Forward Hunt No
Answer" and "Forward Hunt Busy" and enter the mailbox extension that you
want to receive the voicemail as well as the correct CSS

 

Unity or Unity Connection: 

Navigate to Call management > Call Routing > Forwarded Routing Rules.
Create a new rule with these parameters...Dialed Number Equals XXXX
(xxxx is the hunt group number).  In the Send Call to section choose a
user's mailbox.

 

 

Extra:

You can also create a fake DN and fake mailbox and point them to that so
the hunt group members can all access the mailbox instead of the 1
individual.  Then just set the mailbox to send an email to the
individuals when a message is received to notify them to check it since
they won't have the MWI for that fake DN.

We have new requirement from client as below, not sure on how to
implement this.

 

-We have configured 1 new hunt group few ip phones are associated with
group, is their a way to configure voice mail for this hunt group
number.

Let me know if anyone of you have come across similar scenario.
