[cisco-voip] New PRI and GW Registration

Thanks Adel and Matthew.

It's an MGCP GW.

As it turned out for me, my CCM config was good so far. And to just add some info though most of you probably know this....

Show isdn status is useful at this stage:
ISDN Serial0/0/0:23 interface
         dsl 0, interface ISDN Switchtype = primary-ni
         L2 Protocol = Q.921 0x0000  L3 Protocol(s) = CCM MANAGER 0x0003
     Layer 1 Status:
         DEACTIVATED
     Layer 2 Status:
         TEI = 0, Ces = 1, SAPI = 0, State = TEI_ASSIGNED
     Layer 3 Status:
         0 Active Layer 3 Call(s)
     Active dsl 0 CCBs = 0
     The Free Channel Mask:  0x00000000
     Number of L2 Discards = 0, L2 Session ID = 1
     Total Allocated ISDN CCBs = 0

Layer 1 deactivated is a physical problem--router port or cable or telco issue. Assuming that said "active" (and I believe it should have been active at this point prior to the test and turn up) I would be looking at layer 2 and that should say "established."

The above show output layer 1 deactivated was due to AT&T screwing up, I guess. Turns out they couldn't even see their smart jack, and they had to send a tech out to the site, and after nearly 2 hours, my interface came up and the GW registered in CCM. Then the show isdn status command looked like this:
ISDN Serial0/0/0:23 interface
        dsl 0, interface ISDN Switchtype = primary-ni
        L2 Protocol = Q.921 0x0000  L3 Protocol(s) = CCM MANAGER 0x0003
    Layer 1 Status:
        ACTIVE
    Layer 2 Status:
        TEI = 0, Ces = 1, SAPI = 0, State = MULTIPLE_FRAME_ESTABLISHED
    Layer 3 Status:
        0 Active Layer 3 Call(s)
    Active dsl 0 CCBs = 0
    The Free Channel Mask:  0x807FFFFF
    Number of L2 Discards = 0, L2 Session ID = 103
    Total Allocated ISDN CCBs = 0

NOW it's time to do a turn up wherein they will release the B and D Channels, and we'll see if calls can then hit the router and better yet, the phone I have configured. Happy that part of my CCM config looks to be good, so wish me luck on the rest of it once we do the turn up.

Anyway, just thought I would follow up and share what I learned and to say thanks!

jeff

For H.323 you will see the peer IP address appearance, however the status will remain "Unknown" at all times. Traces will show registration details.
