Excellent, that makes perfect sense as to why its not there until you
specify the device type. J I'll use BAT, thanks everyone.

You have to use a query to update phones by device type:

 

Ie  Update Phone | Update Phones by Query | Find phones where device
type contains 7942

 

The update page will then display "Product Specific Configuration
Layout"

		

Where you can update the Video Capabilities to enabled.

 


Or you could export All phones All details, and update the field titled
"XML" and changing <videoCapability>1</videoCapability>

Then use BAT to update. 

 

I think the first way would be easier.   ;o)

Have you considered doing a direct database update? I am not sure where
it stores that data. Maybe you can check the 8.5 database dictionary.

Hi everyone,

 

Has anyone ever tried to update all phones to enable "Video
Capabilities"? I see that you cant do it via BAT, you can change the
Enterprise Phone Configuration and the common phone configuration,
however this doesn't overwrite a phone that is already configured for
this to be disabled.

 

Anyone got any idea's?
