Thanks Chris.......project is not due to start for another 1-2 months yet. Good to hear that there are no problems with 8.5 and hopefully IPC might certify it by then and save me hunting around for an 8.03 install disc!!!

Russell

Not sure how far you’ve gone here but to let you know, IPC have not yet certified UCM 8.5. They have approved 8.03 for QSIG and SIP.

Its interesting as I had to upgrade one of my clusters to 8.5 recently due to some other bugs and have not seen any issues from the IPC side (running QSIG).

Just an FYI

Chris

Like others here have mentioned the integration was originally done with QSIG over ISDN. It worked extremely well.

I have done several installs with IPC personnel and they are nothing if not exceptionally good at what they do.

If they say they will support SIP you can better believe they’ve tested it in very extreme ways as typically turret systems are used in mission critical applications that do not tolerate failure. Just be prepared for some insane network setups as these guys are picky.

Hi all,

I am looking to integrate some IPC Dealer Turrets with a new installation of CUCM 8.5. Has anyone had any experience integrating these IPC Turrets before? If so I would really appreciate any helpful info on the topic? i.e QSIG or SIP or either, any gotchas etc

Haven't got an exact model number yet but can find out

Many thanks in advance

Russell
