Take caution that if you use Connection as your auto-attendant, calls to alternate extensions will reach the primary extension.

Delete the managers Voicemail box (or change the number to preserve messages), add the managers number as an “alternate Extension” on the Secretaries voicemail box. All messages are now delivered to the Secretaries mailbox. Also update the Secretaries mailbox greeting to state that it is the manager’s mailbox, or make it a generic message.

I have a user who would like all her voicemail messages to be delivered to her secretary. Following is my proposed solution.

Create a system call handler with this user’s greeting and allow it to accept messages and set the message recipient to the secretary. At this point I change the directory number associated with the user’s mailbox to a dummy number to preserve the 215 messages currently stored there. Finally I create a call routing rule which directs calls forwarded from the user’s actual extension into voicemail to this call handler.

Is this feasible? Is there possibly an easier way to accomplish this?

Thanks!
