If you want full UC functionality with Google.. The Esna solution is the
only one I know of.

Ideally we'd like to maintain a service for staff/faculty that is as close
as possible to the one we've been offering when we rolled out Unity UM, this
include primarily voicemail in the inbox and MWI. Thanks for the input.

If just forwarding the voice mail to Google is OK. Unity connection will
work. If you are concerned the MWI light on the phone working, you will
have to use a different VM platform.
I was recently involved in a conversion from exchange to Google. For voice
mail I used Esna unified voice ( esna.com ) integrated with CUCM 7.1
MWI works fine for this solution. Google is the message store.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Unity and Google Apps
Hello all, we are a college in Salem, OR and our administration is seriously
looking into moving all staff/faculty (between 1000-1500 mailboxes) to
Google Apps and dropping Exchange. We have Unity UM (v. 5.0.1) and my
colleagues and I are just starting to look into how this will work for UM.
Is anyone looking to do the same thing?
Thanks in advance.
Rossella
