[cisco-voip] Does anyone know how long it takes a phone that has been disconnected from CUCM to change from an unregistered status to an unknown status?

I suspect there’s a cron purge/cleanup job of the shared memory segments which results in unregistered phones moving to unknown status after X time or CCM process restart.
I see devices go unknown usually after ~48-72hrs which leads me to believe a cron running over the shared memory of CCM process.

Wes has a great write up (as always) on the difference between the two;

I believe you're correct in that assumption. As long as the phone has registered during the current "uptime session" of the CUCM, the IP address is cached in the system.

I thought I had read something along the lines of phones only show up as unknown if they had never registered to CUCM during the current cluster uptime. Basically only a full reboot would put an unregistered phone to unknown. I don’t remember where I read this and I could be totally wrong so don’t hold me to it, but if I’m close to right hopefully it might jog someone else’s memory of the complete answer.

Hi All,
