[cisco-voip] Details on Unity Connection Single Inbox (SIB) and EWS

Unity Connection 8.5(1)SU2 with Exchange 2007 SP2.
Customer asked what happens when you leave message on phone and EWS gets a timeout because the Exchange CAS server is having problems. Does it retry X minutes later? How many times before it gives up, etc? I see in Task Managment a 4:30am global re-sync.
Any details?
