I got this back from my Cisco System Engineer:


“The 9971 is not an amplified phone thus the external jack will not amplify the signal to 40-50 dB.  Recommendation:


1.       Use the VG204 with her existing setup.



2.       Although the phone is not amplified, a wide array of products from the hearing impaired manufacturers such as Clarity and Geemarc offer amplified ringers and amplified neck loops.

For example: The ringer can be amplified (http://shop.clarityproducts.com/products/telephone-ringers/) along with an amplified neck loop (http://shop.clarityproducts.com/products/clarity/ce30-amplified-neckloop/?cat=telephone-amplifiers).  We can further increase the audio using a mini audio amplifier (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062620) between the 9971 external jack and the amplified neck loop.

This setup will have to be tested with the user for comfort, usability, and also to make sure the amplified signals don’t cause interference”

9951/9971 use the audio out and go to an amplifier for the headset.
We just ordered everything that we need and it will be coming in soon.
