Sounds more like a phone button service.
Create a web service that generates an email/epage/whatever desired notification to security.
Assign that as a webservice to a line button on the phone.

It can all be quite discrete at the endpoint. You can use the return from the web page to trigger actions on the phone according to the IP Phone Services developer guide.

I need to have a phone in an interview room that “in case of emergency” a button is pushed an auto dial goes out and security is notified to go to “booth 1” BUT they don’t want the person at the Booth to hear that a call was placed.

Is there a way to create a Speed Dial and turn the Speaker off?
