I would have to agree. If the call can be placed, i.e. you don't get error tone when you dial digits, it has something to do with talk path, not control. 

If possible, try grabbing these two phones and putting them on a network where two phones are working without incident and/or vice versa. Ensure you're getting the right IP address from the pool that works (or doesn't work).

I would suspect a routing/network problem first. Have you looked at the phone’s console log? http://ipphone

I have 2 extensions (ext. 8xx1 and ext. 8xx2) that cannot call each other; they can call (received calls from) any extension out of the 500 extensions we have but when it comes to (8xx1 and 8xx2) it is a no go; they callers cannot hear each other. Any thought!
