[cisco-voip] Strange MGCP Gateway Registration Issue

Anyone seen the following behaviour with MGCP before:

Gateway Endpoints are shown as 'registered' in CUCM8.

On the gateway 'show ccm-manager' is showing 'Registering to x.x.x.x),
backup ready etc.

Seeing the following errors with 'debug ccm-manager errors':-

Feb 20 18:20:21.040: cmapp_mgr_process_ev_active_host_failed: Active host 1
(10.x.y.33) failed
Feb 20 18:20:21.040: cmbh_tcp_rdhdr: Null TCP cookie (link_rec)
Feb 20 18:20:21.040: cmapp_mgcpapp_go_down: Setting mgc status to
NO_RESPONSE

Very strange, cant find anything on the web related to the '
cmbh_tcp_rdhdr: Null TCP cookie (link_rec)' message

Any ideas?
