The 6900's and the 8945 will have little caveats and painpoints that will drive you up the wall. I know the 8945's are improving with new firmware releases, but still laggy interface, and no custom background. The screen on the 6900's is so limiting. I love the backlit color screens.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Cisco 6945 Gigabit IP phones
Hello,
We are planning to purchase 6945 phones for our 3500 employees since we have a lot of gigabit users. The 7945 gigabit phone are too costly for our budget. Our strategy is to go gigabit for all users.
Do many of you have experience with these models? Are they working okay? Quality okay....
We've purchased one and tested it. It has more features than the 7911 we are currently using and it sustained 500Mb of traffic.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Daniel.
