[cisco-voip] IP communicator 8.6 issues lately?

We have seen issues where various releases of IP communicator (version
2.0.2; 2.1.4 and 8.6) conflict with the network interface card. It prevents
the nic from being recognized and changes the TFTP IP addresses to 0.0.0.0.
This behavior occurs on both Windows XP and Windows 7 operating systems. We
have experienced one way audio problems too. In most reported cases, the
issues began right after an epo of McAfee H I P version 8 was pushed through
the network. We have an open case with McAfee but they have not found
anything yet.

I've been seeing the same thing with IPC 7.06 running windows 7. Only
workaround I found was uninstall and reinstall. I'm not sure what is causing
it but I also assumed it was a windows update. Has happened to me personally
connecting to various clusters and versions but the most recent client
complaint was on 8.03 and IPC 7.06.

I have a large telecommuting base that using IP communicator 8.6 (and
anyconnect 2.5).
Lately I've been seeing more issues with the softphone (black screen, not
responsive, using wrong IP address (not vpn address)). Did a windows update
come out that has been causing any issues?
Just wondering if it's just me.
TIA
Scott
PS CM 7.1.5
