Well, but Which one is a more robust solution, in your opinion ?

> Yes but the last time I checked the SRST and CME for Fallback license costs were the same. At some point Cisco will figure out that a lot of companies are going to want the better call processing for remote offices during an outage and raise the cost on CME as SRST. May have happened already for all that I know. Don’t quote me on this but if anyone is interested I think Unity Express can also now be put in the mix for fallback at remote sites during an outage and then VMs that were left at the remote sites during an outage sync back to Unity Connection once the WAN has been restored.

>> Currently you can have your choice of SRST or CME on the remote gateway working with CUCM for your failover call processing. I personally have not used SRST as the failover since using CME became an option. Much more robust functionality.

>> Hi Folks,

>> We have a small remote infrastructure with a dozen of SIP phones with a 2811 gateway.

>> The problem is when the remote link goes down, all the 12 remote phones cannot make calls between them.
>>
>> I was wondering if I could install CME into the remote 2811 gateway and integrate it with our central CUCM.
