ok, this might not be exactly what you need, but, when you use the handset, the headset can hear but not speak. when you use the headset, the handset can hear but not speak. 

if you want them to _both_ use headsets, you might be able to buy a simple headset that fits into the handset plug. it should still respect the auto-mute. 

just a thought, something to try out.

Anyone know of a specific headset model from a 3 rd party that can be used to allow a trainee to listen to another person’s call but not speak and not have to use another phone and conferencing or whatnot?
