Did you already assign it to a route pattern directly? That would make it unavailable to add to a route group. That’s not a SIP Trunk specific restriction though.

Subject: [cisco-voip] SIP trunk in Route Group
Hi,
Does anyone know why my SIP trunks do not show up in the available devices list when trying to create a Route Group?
It is a new RG with no other devices selected on a CUCM 6.1 system.
It is a new SIP trunk that (at the moment) has a dummy IP address so it is not working as yet, could that be why?
Cheers,
DT
