It should stay at 2008 or 2008 R2 native. They should not be able to up to 2012 Native with the 2008R2 DC's still in production. They might be able to do 2012 Mixed mode, but usually that is a conscious choice. I am actually spinning up a test 2012 server right now, and I can take a look to confirm.

Subject: [cisco-voip] CM AD integration.......
we are running CM 8.6.2.
our Server team is in the process of upgrading there last AD server to windows 2012 from 2003. All other AD servers are 2008r2. They say they are not upgrading the AD structure from 2003, but since this is the last server to upgrade I'm concerned that it may upgrade the AD structure to 2008 or a mix of 2008 / 2012.
according to http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/8_6_1/ccmsys/a04direc.html it looks like I should be OK with either AD 2003 or 2008, but if anything happens with 2012, I'm guessing I'm hosed?
Any experience or other links would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Scott
