James is correct. This is certainly possible.

I think it is possible. The authentication of users in Unity Connection for Single Inbox is not tied to the LDAP integration per se. The permission to send and receive voicemails comes from the account created on the Exchange server that gives Unity Connection the ability to impersonate users for sending and receiving voicemails.

Subject: [cisco-voip] Unity Connection 8.6 Exchange in seperate trusted Domain
A customer asked me the other day if it's possible to have single inbox enabled if thier Exchange 2010 servers reside in a separate trusted domain from where thier users reside and authenticate. I've been looking through the design guide and can't seem to determine if that's something that is feasible and/or supported and if there are caveats associated with that? Anyone ever run across this before?
Thanks
Ted
