This means the phone dropped because it timed out the TCP session to CUCM. A phone load upgrade could certainly help if it's the phone's behavior that is causing the TCP timeout but it certainly isn't guaranteed.
You'll need to look at the traffic from the phone to CUCM, check for proper QOS, look for dropped packets, etc.

We saw this a lot on our old CUCM 6.1(x) server.
The issue was resolved when they moved to new firmware 9.3.1SR1 during our transition to CUCM 8.6(4).
I would load the new device pack or maybe specific firmware for that model of phone and test one to see if it resolves the issue.
