Hi Dennis, thank you.

No LDAP Sync.

CUCM DB independent from Active Directory.

Ok for the migration using Vmware from 6.1.3. to 9.1.1, I've already done this before and I know it's working, but is a lot of work. Anyway I think this is the right way!

What about license?

I would take the 6.1 cluster and migrated it into vmware, and upgrade it with the jump process. 6.1(x)->6.1(5)->9.1(2). From there then I would rename the system elements (device-pools, etc), and clean up the dial-plan how you want it to fit in the condensed cluster. Then do you data export. Then you should be about 95% of the way there. If you export at the 6.x level, you will need to do lots of data manipulation to make the import 9.x compatible. Plus this will give you sometime to set owner-id’s etc.

Are you LDAP sync’d?

Then you

You can start a TAC case and Cisco licensing will issue you a new license file for the 9.1 cluster that will cover the devices from the 6.x cluster. If both are covered with ESW/UCSS it will make the process easier.

I think you should be able to BAT the phones out from the 6.x cluster over to the 9.1 cluster. Not sure if the version mis-match will cause any issues though

Hi Guys,

   some questions for you.

Two customer:

Customer A has a Cisco CUCM9.1.1 with 600 devices 3 servers, 1 PUB and 2 SUB

Customer B has a Cisco CUCM6.1.3 with 400 devices 2 servers, 1 PUB and 1 SUB

Requirements:

Customer A and B join each other becoming a big one Enterprise C

Customer C, wants one Clusterwide Cisco CUCM9.1.1 with 1 PUB and 4 SUB, using existing Cluster A.

Questions:

How I can migrate license from Cluster B in to existing Cluster A?

Can I export Users, Device and Direcotry Numbers in to existing Cluster A?

Thank yoy all guys.

Regards
