[cisco-voip] Jabber/Webex Connect phone control of 9971

We have users who use Webex Connect (and Jabber) and they can use phone
control for their 7900s et al; but not for the 9971, it just times out when
you select them.
We have CUCM 10.5 and the latest version of Jabber/Webex Connect... problem
is exhibited on both Jabber and Webex Connect for the 9971.
What is different about the 9971 that would cause it to fail?
