[cisco-voip] Calling Party Name and Calling Calling Party Number in a SIP Trunk to VCS

One thing to keep in mind is a TC-based endpoint won't update any called party information before media is cut through. This is intentional so the remote party-id doesn't go bouncing around as FindMe does its thing.

As these endpoints move into UCM from VCS this behavior will likely continue even though the SNR feature of UCM works differently than FindMe.

Hello Jason,

I haven't tested this myself, but I was talking to TAC about this yesterday. They suggested using a CPL script.

Look halfway through this post - There's also mention of using the FindMe source rewrite function:

I hope that helps,

Running CallManager 9.1 with VCS 8.1

Is there a standard on how a SIP Video endpoint should show Calling Party Name and Calling Calling Party Number when using URI dialing in SIP to SIP or SIP to H323 (VCS Internetworking)

Can I show a Friendly name like Jason Aarons vs Jason.aarons at coke.com<mailto:Jason.aarons at coke.com> on the screen when call comes into VCS Endpoint from my Jabber?

I have to admit I’m not sure what it shows but the customer said it wasn’t right. Trying to get a camera picture of the screens.
